Common questions
How much does a fall cleanup cost in Manhattan, IL?
It depends on lot size, how many trees drop on it and whether the beds need work. Leaf removal only on a typical subdivision lot is the low end. A full cleanup with beds, perennials and shrub trimming on a wooded half acre is the high end. Every job is quoted before we come out, and hauling is always included.
When should I schedule a fall cleanup?
Once most of the leaves are down, usually late October into November in Will County. If you have big oaks or maples, one visit in early November and a final one after the last drop works best. Book early, the crew fills up fast once the leaves start.
Do you haul the leaves away?
Yes. Leaves and debris leave with us. We do not blow them into the street, the storm drain or the neighbor's yard, and nothing is left in bags at the curb.
What is included besides leaves?
In a full cleanup: perennials cut back, dead annuals pulled, shrubs and hedges trimmed, beds cleaned out, fence lines and corners cleared, and walks and the driveway blown off. Leaf removal only is just the leaves, if that is all you need.
Why not just leave the leaves until spring?
Wet leaves mat down and smother the grass over winter, and snow mold and dead patches show up in April. Beds full of soggy leaves and stems hold disease and voles. A spring cleanup after a skipped fall costs more and takes longer.
Do you do spring cleanups too?
Yes. Spring cleanups cover winter debris, bed cleaning, cutbacks and a mulch refresh. Contact us in March to get on the spring list.
