What is included
Shaped, not scalped
Each shrub is trimmed to its shape and size, not sheared flat. Hedges get a straight line and a level top. Dead wood comes out.
Cleaned up
Every clipping is raked out of the bed and off the lawn and hauled away. Beds get a quick weeding while we are in them.
The right time
Most shrubs and hedges in Will County take a fall trim well. Spring bloomers like lilac and forsythia we trim lightly after they flower and tell you why.

Common questions
How much does bush trimming cost?
It comes down to the number of shrubs and how overgrown they are. A front foundation planting of under ten shrubs is a quick job at the low end. Twenty-five to fifty shrubs around the whole house, or a hard cutback on plants that have grown into the windows, is quoted per job. Text a photo and you get a price.
When is the best time to trim bushes in Illinois?
Most evergreens (yews, boxwood, arborvitae, junipers) and summer bloomers take a trim in late summer or fall, once new growth has hardened. Spring bloomers like lilac, forsythia and viburnum set next year's buds in summer, so those get trimmed right after they flower. We tell you which is which on the quote.
Can you bring back badly overgrown shrubs?
Usually. Most deciduous shrubs can take a hard cutback and regrow. Yews handle it. Boxwood and arborvitae cannot be cut back into bare wood, so those get shaped as far as the green goes. If a shrub is past saving we will say so and can remove it.
Do you haul away the clippings?
Yes. Clippings are raked out of the beds and off the lawn and leave with us. Walks and the driveway are blown off before we go.
Do you remove shrubs and bushes?
Yes, as part of a cleanup or a bed makeover. Dead or unwanted shrubs come out, roots and all, and the bed is ready for new plantings or mulch.
Is this a one-time service?
Yes. Trim once a year in fall, or spring and fall for fast growers like privet and burning bush. No contract, just text when the shrubs need it.
